Amy Yarrington | Co-President Copresidenta
Hello! I’m a proud parent of two Forest View fledglings – a rising 3rd grader and rising Kindergartener – and I’m excited to help support our amazing school community with Aubrey and the rest of the board. I love connecting with other kiddos and families, so please stop me to say hi whenever you see me around. Talk to me about community and population health, good food, plants and flowers, books, working out, and YOUR hobbies!
Aubrey Delaney | Co-President Copresidenta
Hi, I’m Aubrey! I have a rising third grader and a rising kindergartener and love Forest View. I read a lot, run slowly, and take a lot of pictures. I’m excited to be co-president with Amy and to work with the rest of the board to help keep Forest View a great place to be!
Blaire Rodgers | Vice President Teacher Appreciation Vicepresidenta de Reconocimiento a Maestros
I’m mom to Sloane (rising third), and Arthur and Grant (rising K). My husband Mark and I have been back in Durham for 11 years, and love our city, our neighborhood, and most definitely, Forest View. It’s a special place, and we are so proud to be a part of this community. I work in tech, love soccer, gardening, puzzling, and crafting. Looking forward to meeting you and working with you make Forest View even better!
Tricia Holtz | Vice President Teacher Appreciation Vicepresidenta de Reconocimiento a Maestros
Hi! I’m Tricia. I have a rising second grader, Hallie, and I am happy to have been a part of the FVE community for the past 2 years. I also have a son, Brooks, in pre-k who looks forward to joining his sister at FVE after next year.
I’m excited to be returning as a co-VP of Teacher Appreciation with Blaire. Supporting the teachers and staff this past year has been such a joy, and I look forward to continuing to show the staff how thankful we all are to have them!
I love being active in my free time, especially playing tennis and running. I also enjoy baking and cooking. My husband and I are both TCU alumni, and you’ll often find us cheering on our Frogs!
I’m looking forward to another wonderful year with this great group!
Jacky Hernandez | Vice President Communication Vicepresidenta de Comunicaciones
My name is Jacky Hernandez, and my family and I have been part of the Forest View Elementary community for the past year. Our child participates in the special education program, which inspired me to join the PTA with the goal of fostering greater awareness and empathy for students in Exceptional Children (EC) programs.
Beyond school involvement, I have a deep passion for community engagement and education. I founded a support group for Spanish-speaking parents of neurodiverse children, which meets monthly both in person and virtually. This initiative has been instrumental in building connections and providing resources within our community.
In my free time, I enjoy listening to music and reading. I’m enthusiastic about the opportunity to serve as a bridge between the Latino community and our school, ensuring that all families feel welcomed and supported.
I hope to contribute meaningfully to the Forest View PTA and look forward to collaborating with you all.
Amanda Pierce | Treasurer Tesorera
Hello, all! I’m Amanda Pierce, a proud DPS parent of a rising kindergartner and a rising 3rd grader. I’ve spent my career working in education and special education, supporting federal and state-funded projects focused on disproportionality, fiscal reporting, and technical assistance. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find our family at Hollow Rock, enjoying the outdoors, or cheering on the Blue Devils. For “me” time, I’m either on the tennis court or fully embracing my status as an Orange Theory cult member. I’m excited to be part of the PTA team this year and look forward to supporting our beloved Forest View community!
Katherine Fioret | Secretary Secretaria
Hello Forest View community! I am a proud parent of two children at Forest View and am excited to continue supporting our teachers and students in any way I can! I’ve spent several years working as an English and Special Education teacher in both middle and high schools. As both an educator and parent, I’m passionate about building a vibrant, collaborative school community that helps create a positive educational experience for all students. Outside of PTA, I enjoy reading, cooking, and exploring Durham with my family. I look forward to working with you all!
