The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) supports teachers, students, and our school by raising funds, planning events, and encouraging family involvement. Together, we work to help the Forest View community thrive. To keep our community strong, we aim to grow our membership each year by welcoming new faces, ideas, and talents.

The Forest View PTA’s primary fundraiser is our annual “UnFundraiser,” which kicks off in the fall. Instead of asking families to sell or purchase items, we invite you to make a one-time contribution in any amount. Funds raised directly support classroom teachers, specials programs, the media center, cultural arts, outdoor learning and gardening, technology, and much more. We collaborate closely with Forest View staff to ensure they have the resources they need to best support your children.

Another simple way to support the PTA is through partnerships with local restaurants and retail rewards programs. You can find details on all the ways to contribute on the website’s fundraising tab.

Volunteers are essential to the PTA’s work. Their time and effort make it possible to provide meaningful support and host engaging events. There are many opportunities to get involved, and we look forward to meeting and working with you.

This year, we are especially excited to grow our Parents of African American Children (PAAC) group. PAAC is a PTA subcommittee dedicated to supporting and encouraging the engagement of Black families, as well as advocating for Black children. We welcome parents who are interested in helping shape and expand this important group. Please reach out to us at ptaforestviewelementary[at]gmail.com if you would like to get involved.

We also encourage you to attend PTA and Steering Team meetings throughout the year. These meetings are a great way to hear updates from the principal and staff, stay informed, and share your input.

PTA membership must be renewed annually. We invite you to officially join and support Forest View by paying the $5 annual dues. Membership dues support both state and national PTA efforts, as well as our local school. You can join through the Forest View Falcon Store, where you can also purchase spirit wear and car magnets, or make a donation to the UnFundraiser.

La Asociación de Padres y Maestros (PTA, por sus siglas en inglés) apoya a los maestros, estudiantes y a nuestra escuela mediante la recaudación de fondos, la planificación de eventos y la promoción de la participación familiar. Juntos trabajamos para ayudar a que la comunidad de Forest View prospere. La membresía del PTA debe renovarse cada año. Le invitamos a unirse oficialmente y apoyar a Forest View pagando la cuota anual de $5.
