We are excited to announce that the 4th Grade Grandfather Mountain Field Trip is scheduled for April 24, 2025!
What is it? A full-day field trip via coach buses to Grandfather Mountain outside of Boone, NC. This is a fantastic opportunity for our kiddos to enjoy NC’s natural environment, see first-hand some of the geologic (rock) formations they’ve learned about in science class and experience the thrill of the park’s Mile High Swinging Bridge (ah!). You’ll be receiving a more detailed document with information about the trip and permission slips as we get closer to the trip.
How can you help now? Fundraising! Trips like this require additional resources to pay for bussing and other incidentals.
Specifics: We’re asking that willing families share this letter template with their families. And this letter template is great for employers, local business and other members of the community who may be interested in helping. Every dollar we raise together goes directly to the cost of this trip, making it affordable (maybe even free!) for each student. Feel free to edit this and have your student share what excites them most, too!
