Before joining the Forest View PTA, I honestly thought that everything our children received at school was fully funded by the government. I didn’t realize that many of the activities, programs, teacher resources, and experiences that enrich our children’s education also depend on support from families and fundraising efforts.
The more I’ve gotten involved, the more I’ve realized that there are many needs that aren’t fully funded—and the PTA helps fill those gaps for the benefit of all our students.

I now understand that supporting our school isn’t just about making a donation; it’s an investment in our children, their teachers, and our entire school community. Antes de unirme a la APM (PTA) de Forest View Elementary, pensaba que todo lo que nuestros hijos reciben en la escuela estaba completamente cubierto por el gobierno. No sabía que muchas de las actividades, programas, recursos para los maestros y experiencias que enriquecen la educación de nuestros niños dependen también del apoyo de las familias y de los esfuerzos de recaudación de fondos.
Al involucrarme más, entendí que existen muchas necesidades que no siempre cuentan con suficiente financiamiento y que la APM ayuda a cubrir esos espacios para beneficio de todos los estudiantes.
Como mamá, esta experiencia me abrió los ojos. Ahora entiendo que apoyar a nuestra escuela no es solo una donación; es una inversión directa en nuestros hijos, sus maestros y nuestra comunidad.
