KidBright – Snacks for kids

Posted by

KidBright USA, a Durham-based nonprofit, is delivering free healthy snacks weekly to the second grade at Forest View Elementary. With the help of a volunteer network and financial support from individuals and local businesses, KidBright is bringing this valuable program to Forest View. As support within community grows, KidBright will expand snack services to additional grade levels.

Why healthy snacks? Breakfast and lunch are sometimes just not enough for growing kids. When kids are hungry they have a hard time focusing and learning. A healthy snack keeps kids nourished so they can focus, learn and thrive. Providing the same nutritious snack to every student in the classroom builds a sense of community, equality and belonging among students.
