Forest View runs a concessions stand at Duke football and men’s basketball games during the year. Last year, thanks to all of the help from the Forest View community, we raised nearly $13,000 through our work volunteering in the concessions stands – our biggest year ever!
Our first football game this year in on Saturday, Sept. 3 a
nd we need your help to staff the stand! Because volunteering for a football game can make for a long day, we have divided the game into two shifts (which includes travel time to and from the parking lot). The game on Sept. 3 starts at 6:00. The first shift starts at 3:00 (the time when you should be at the parking lot)
and the second shift starts at 6:30. You can sign up for one shift or to help for the full time.
Volunteering at a game is a great and fun way to help Forest View and to meet other parents and teachers. Parents, grandparents, teachers, and students who are in at least the 3rd grade are welcome to volunteer. In addition, because of the money we raise through our efforts, each hour you volunteer in the concessions stand is like making a $10 donation to Forest View. Where else can you get such a great return on your volunteer investment!
If you have any questions or need additional information, please email Geoff Coltrane at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you so much for your help in the past, and for considering helping this year!
